Removable speed bumps

A bolt-down rubber speed bump is removable by design: unbolt the modules, lift them out, and the lane is flat for sweeping, plowing or an event — then reinstall in the same anchor holes. That is the practical difference from poured asphalt, which is permanent and has to be milled out. Materials run $260–$520 per 12 ft lane (3 in modular) or $360–$660 (2.4 in heavy-duty), anchors and end caps included, plus freight.

3-Inch Modular Rubber Speed Bump

Modules come out one at a time and go back in the same holes, so seasonal removal is a two-person job instead of a project.

Removable, not loose

It is anchored while installed — it will not creep or get pushed aside like an unanchored mat — and still comes out with a socket when you need the lane clear.

Plow season

Where plows work the lot, pulling the modules in late fall avoids blade strikes; the end caps also give a plow a ramped edge while they are in place.

Removable vs portable

Removable means anchored year-round and taken out occasionally. If you need to move it daily for an event lane or a work zone, look at the portable kit instead.

Frequently asked

Are rubber speed bumps removable?

Yes. Bolt-down rubber bumps unbolt and lift out in about 20 minutes per 12 ft lane with two people, and reinstall into the same anchor holes. Poured asphalt bumps do not: removing one means milling and repaving.

Should I remove speed bumps for snow removal?

In heavy-plow regions, many properties pull them for the season. The units have ramped end caps that let a blade ride over them, but removal eliminates the risk of a strike entirely and takes minutes per lane.

Do the anchor holes stay usable?

Yes — leave the sleeves in place and the modules go back into the same holes next season, so re-marking and re-drilling are not needed.

What is the difference between removable and portable speed bumps?

Removable units are anchored to the pavement and taken out occasionally. Portable units are unanchored and meant to be moved and stored frequently, which is the right choice for events, work zones and temporary lanes.

How long does installation take?

Bolt-down install takes two people about 30 minutes per 12 ft lane: position the modules, mark the bolt holes, hammer-drill the asphalt or concrete, and torque the anchors flush. No paving contractor and no cure time.

Do you ship nationwide?

Yes. Every kit is in stock in the USA and ships by LTL freight to all 48 contiguous states. Pallet and container pricing is available for volume orders, and freight is quoted to your ZIP code.
